Strategic Thinking And A Thoughtful Plan

Building success in any arena starts with strategic thinking and thoughtful plan. What’s your plan to succeed? I’ve worked in the corporate world for 20 plus years, making other companies rich, nothing wrong with that everything has its place. But, in 2007 I had a shift in my thoughts. Where are my riches and my pot of gold at the end of the rainbow? I’d desired to be in business for myself but never by myself. My fifth birthday was a few years away, but the number (50) seems to always pop in my head. I didn’t have time to waste on anything that was meaningless in life it had to go. So it started with my job, I was doing what I loved which was working and helping students achieve success but it was in the wrong environment. My focused changed and I found my rhythm. I love music, and music loves me. I tell you more about that in tomorrow’s blog. Know this, when you start saying the right words and lining yourself up with your purpose the wrong people will start leaving your life. Oh it’s great to get your second win, you’re thinking becomes so clear and you will be begin to connect with people who are aligned with your purpose but you’ll have to put yourself out there. As I begin to align myself with the vision God had shown me. The man I was dating didn’t fit anything I was working toward if I went left, he went right. If I went right he went left. I had empowering the masses with my gift of Gab and music on my mind. I lived in a Condo in the city, (Mr) wanted to move to the suburban’s two hours outside of Los Angeles, too far for anything I was working on. With one adult son well on his way I had my focus, (Mr) had twin’s girls to rise with plenty of baby mama drama after I showed up of course...smile No, thank you! I’m 51 years young and at this stage of my life the stakes are higher. I have no time to waste and neither do you. Stop wasting time presuming travails things that don’t matter and will not work in the long run. I left decades of misaligning thinking behind. In your 40's everything looks different, feels different you become clear in many area of your life. In my 50's I'm precise in my thinking embracing all the wisdom I’d learned from personal and professional missteps. If you can build a solid foundation and survive now, you will thrive later. Here are a few points to get started. Think big, Do the unconventional, believe in yourself and your ideas. Share your vision, Execute and never give-up. That’s was five years ago and I’ve never looks back.

MAKE A MEMORABLE IMPRESSION

GRABBING THE SPOTLIGHT doesn’t come naturally for everyone, but as an entrepreneur, you can’t afford to waste any opportunity that comes your way to tell people who you are and what you do. I want to share some tips on how to make a memorable impression. Spotlight your strengths, and be the best at what you do. Always hand-out your business card and accept one in return. Why is it important to step into the spotlight? No one will know who you are if you don’t speak up. How do you stand out from the crowd? Approach it from a show-business point of view. Be your own casting director and decide what role you want to play in the marketplace. Which audience do you want to attach? A good example of this is Mac vs. PC. Mac has made a decision about who they’re going for: young, hip customers. (Ask yourself,) what does my character look like, sound like. Decide what you want to be known for. It’s important for entrepreneurs to find their story, and tell their stories. Make it colorful and authentic this has work for me. Most people are afraid to standout. Now is your time to shine so step into the spotlight.

Maintaining Balance in your Life

Life is change and as we travel its path we grow, and change and so often do the things that are important to us. There are no map or designer directions for life, our journey evolves based on the decisions we make on the way. It's really important we take the time every now and again to re-evaluate ourselves and what we want from life in order to determine whether we are still on track and going in the right direction. Is my Life in Balance? Here are a few questions to ponder. 1. Who am I and what do I want to do? 2. What is important to me? 3. What am I passionate about? Some people may love their work so much they'd do it for free, others may find their family really important. For others exploring their creative talents may be their dream or traveling to foreign adventures. All of this is part of the joy of life! We are all different and love different things and have different dreams. Every person is unique, this is your life you can live it as you choose. You are entitled to your feelings and to follow your dreams if you choose to. Do not let others impose guilt on you, for following your heart. Trust yourself and your dreams will come true. Is your life "out-of-balance"? Take a look!

Full Embrace

To live passionately,“find your purpose and grow with it.” How do we create the world that we want to live in? By being bold enough to dream the impossible dream, even if it defines the status quo, or others think it is crazy. We must be bold enough to live our dreams in such an inspired way that others join us saying, “That’s how I want to live my life!” We live in a production driven society rather than a purpose-driven society. We approach everything backward, looking at the result first. We don’t have to know how to do something before we begin it. Passion and Purpose will take over your life if you continue to move forward. Often we feel overwhelmed and isolated and think, “I’m just one person; how can I make real difference?” Sometimes it’s easier to shut down because were busy, and there’s so much going on around you but you must stay focused. First step. Take action by writing your vision so it’s always before your eyes be passion in action. Let's start with writing down two or three words that someone who loves you would use to describe you. Choose the qualities you think others appreciate about you. Write the way that you express those qualities in your everyday life. I look forward to hearing how your fully embracing your passion in life.

Go Ahead, Assert Yourself!

One day while I was watching the Olympic Games on TV, I heard an athlete describe how hard she had worked to get the opportunity to compete in the Olympic Games. She was telling what it took for her to win the gold medal.

Well, what does it take to be a winner? Everyone wants to know the answer to that question! We all want to win. But when it comes right down to it, few of us are willing to pay the price to do it.

The athletes that compete in the Olympics don't just wake up one morning and say, "Hey! I think I'll be in the Olympics today. “They train for years to get there." Many train for a lifetime, they get out of bed every morning to run. They run in the cold, they run in the rain, they train when it's hot, they run no matter what!

What obstacle will you run over to reach your goals? Will you run past fear? Doubt? Insecurities?

I'd love to hear what goal you’re reaching for and your plan to get there.

Your Money Or Your Time?

Tough choice to save one, you often have to spend the other. Every day were faced with a time vs money dilemma. Should you hire a lawn service to the mow the grass or do it yourself?

Bake brownies for the PTA meeting or pick some up from the bakery? Here, are a few factors that you'll need to consider to make the most clearheaded decision.

Four questions to ask yourself before you make any time vs money decision.

1.Can I realistically pull this project off? Be honest. Is it safe or prudent for you to tackle the job yourself? Will it be difficult or relatively easy to learn any new required skills?

2.What kind of time commitment is really involved? Gauge how many hours the project with take from start to finish.

3.How much will this task cost to complete myself?

4.How much will I enjoy the process?

Just some food for thought!

Be Healthy:Focus on moderation and the value of making healthy food choices.

Simplify:We often race through life trying to manage more than we can handle. De-clutter your life starting at home. Commit to clearing out unnecessary things that complicate your life and make time and space for what really matters.

Get Moving:A 20 minutes walk of physical activity will boost your emotional well-being. I'm feeling better just thinking about it. Try it, you'll feel healthier, more vibrant and alive find your balance today.

Do you Believe in Miracles? "My Beautiful Moment".

2011 was a year filled with surprises, twists, turns, births, deaths, disappointment, sorrows, joy and pain. We all experienced the good, the bad and the ugly. But, thought it all we triumphed and crossed over to 2012.

God has given me and another opportunity to share my faith walk with others. There were many beautiful moments along the way, allow me to share once such moment.

Five years after my Mom Sara suffered a debilitating stroke, two brain surgeries, she was left with loss of mobility on her left side and multiples bottles of medicines to take each day. During the late summer of 2011 my Mom, sister and I decided to attend a three day “Financial Wisdom Conference” at our church Crenshaw Christian in Los Angeles.

Dr. Nasir Siddiki was the invited guest for the evening; His wife Anita shared their incredible stories and their live changing miracles of God healing power in their lives. Dr. Siddiki was infected with shingles the worst doctor’s had seen and his wife suffered a pelvic blood clot after the birth of their son Matthew James, leaving her paralyzed. My Mom’s lost most of her mobility after her stroke, but she could speak. Our world changed she was traumatized, and so were we.

During the evening session on the last day. Dr. Siddiki and his wife asked if there was anyone who needed or wanted Prayer our answer was yes, Mom was a prime candidate.

As Women of Faith my sister and I agreed, stood and believed for years that our Mom’s healing would manifest and that she would walk again. As I stood in line pushing my Mom in her wheelchair we inched closer to the front of the line. Patiently waiting our turn we were ready for our miracle. Our time had fianlly come. Dr. Siddiki talked to my Mom asking her what happened; she told him she’s had a stroke. He asked her what she has wanted; she said to walk again. That late summer night I witnessed a miracle before my eyes. My Mom stood wobblingly, her wheel chair slowly pulled from behind as two gentleman stood near.

Dr. Siddiki prayed and spoke words of Faith over Mom, we agreed together for her healing, Mama begin to take baby steps, as she gained courage she kept walking I cried uncontrollably. I saw her desire and will to try coming back; I saw her desire and a glimmer of hope in her eyes.

For the first time, my Mom took literal steps of independence, it was her time and my “Beautiful Moment” in 2011 a true Miracle. Surrounded by the most beautiful women I know (Mom) I will always remember that day.

2012 is a time to live beautifully, "Living Beautifully” means taking time to reflect on those remarkable moments that punctuate our lives. I’d like to hear about an indelible memory that changed you’re live in 2011.

I believe in miracle do you?

"Resurrecting Dead Dreams"

Happy 2012

It's time to resurrect your dead dreams. As children we dreamed of being teachers, doctors, engineers, nurses, firemen, dancers, and singers. However as we grew older, many of those dreams changed based on our talents, maturity and the advice we received from our parents, teachers and well-meaning friends.

God created each of us with specific talents and abilities; he determined the plan for our lives long before we were conceived. It's time for us to manifest what's on the inside.

What dormant vision had God given you? What dreams do you have inside that have not yet materialized? No matter what stage of life you're in right now, you'll be amazed and surprised what God can do with your dreams!

Each morning began to spend time with God, make him your first priority and he will unfold his wisdom to you and that's vital for your success.

When we operate within the realm of God's divine plan for our lives. We will not have to guess which door to open. "However, getting to the place is a process" but worth enduring.

2012 is here, God has given us a fresh start it's time to begin again. This new year, will demand discipline, steadfastness, determination, focus and unwavering faith.

It’s time to wake-up! Your dreams are waiting!

Believing in your greatness!
