"Reality Check C'mon Get Happy."

The Sky is blue, the sky looks green no I think it white. Who's right? Does it matter? In some cases it just may! This means that how you view things is only your reality and not necessarily anyone else's. Interesting, huh? There are as many realities in the world as there are people. Whether perception is right or wrong is irrelevant. If you perceive things in a negative manner you'll respond to those things in a negative manner. The same holds true when you look at things in a positive light. Appraising your situation in a positive manners will allow you to begin feelings and behaving in a manner consistent to what you really want. So, why not use your thoughts to your advantage?

Your LIFE is waiting

Hello Winners. I've been away for a few days as I completed one of my biggest writing projects to date as Editor-In-Chief of CoffeeTalk JAZZ Magazine Los Angeles. (My brain child) Many of you may not know me or my story. I'll share the edited version. I created and started my business 10 years ago after being fired from my job because I stood for integrity and I refused to lie to save my job and make someone else involved shine like a diamond. Integrity is everything to me I stood on my principle and wouldn't back-down for that I was terminated. After working in the corporate arena 25 plus years (nothing wrong with that) I looked at my skill set, education and made the decision that I would hire myself and create my opportunity. On the other side of my decision I faced many obstacles that would typically break a person down. With no money, losing my home all the material stuff that you think is important was gone and the man who professed his love for me walked away. Armed with determination a tenacious spirit drive and the Word of God, test after test came things seems to go from bad to worse. I got still so I could hear God's voice. God slowly unfolded a new plan for my life but in the midst of reinventing myself my Mama had a massive stroke. She lay in the hospital in ICU on life support for a year. After several brain surgeries severely disabled 24 months of a very slow recovery I became her full time caregiver when doctor's send her home to die. "Ok God this can't be your will for my life." Here I am a decade later taking care of my disabled Mom while running my business full time. I said all that to say. "All things are possible for those that believe." If you want to succeed against odd all you can. "You must believe in the vision and dream God shows you when others don't it's really not for them it's for you. "Success never looks like or feels like success when your walking through the fire the striping process." "Accept Your Chosen Destiny"

Happy New Year. There is no better benefits package than the one God gives to the faithful, the rewards are immeasurable. Many times we stand around waiting for people to give us the green light to life our lives. We rely on others people and resources to do what we have the power to do ourselves.

We have the Word of God and that's enough. Time to get busy.

Don't Give Up

I'm thrilled to share the concept and outline of my book. My book will be for those who would give up hope at the point of break through in the face of adversity. In my book I will share the adversities, the lessons learned and the process of getting backup after repeated knock downs. I was down but I wasn't knocked out. I'm authentic, raw and real. I'll share with you how I flipped the script during some of the darkest times I'll talk about reviving, restoring and recovery. I'm ready for the world to hear my voice and my story. Your Destiny Is God Ordained

Have you asked God the purpose for your life? If not begin seeking Him now. Ephesians 1:9 promises us that he will make known the mystery of his will for your life. His plan for your life is not some big secret he's trying to keep from you he wants you you know. He's just waiting on you to put aside your plans to pursue his will.

Every answer you need in life can be found in his Word. Make a conscious effort to spend quality time with Him daily.

As far a naysayers go. Don't concerned yourself or waste your time trying to convince others of anything. In the end the vision will speak (Habakkuk 2:3) Just keep on thanking God for what he's already done and will continue to do for you.

2015 might have been a year of surviving adversity although it was difficult your still here.

"Reflections Of A Little Girl"

As a little Southern girl I wasn't sure who I was or how'd I fit into the world space. Coming from a family of Educator's I had no idea what I wanted to do with my life. Those closest to me always had their say about what they thought I'd be and I followed their path for a while until I had the courage to find and follow my own voice. I liked talking and I loved books and reading. Curious about books learning and what words meant I discovered solus in writing it was and has been a great outlet of expression. Books were my access to learning and words were my friend and a BIG way for me to have my say. Later in my life I discovered poetry and Dr. Maya Angelou's impact in the literary world. I'd stand in the mirror reading and talking as if I were Dr. Maya on stage in hopes that one day I'd sound as eloquent as some of the words she wrote. Her words are a sweet beautiful fragrant legacy living touching history. From her humble beginnings and rise to great heights she showed and scared little country girl that there is a place in the world for me. And the words I'd later write and speak would take me anywhere in the world I wanted to go. I am there! Thank you for the lift my dear Sister-Mother may your soul rest in the Master's presences.

The best advice I ever received

The best advice I ever received was to simply have no regrets. Who gave me the advice? My Mom Ms.Sara. If you asked every person in the world who gave them their best advice, it is a safe bet that most would say it was their mother I am no exception. My mother has taught me many valuable lessons that have helped shape my life. But having no regrets stands out above all others because it has formed every aspect of my life and every business decision I've made or will make. It is one thing to dish out advice; it is another to lead by example and show exactly what you mean through your actions. My Mom has always had a keen entrepreneurial streak herself. When I was a child, she inspired me to take risks some didn't work out but many of them did. But the failed lessons I learned were invaluable. The amount of time people spend looking back on failed projects astounds me. If we were to add up all of the hours spent regretting mistakes and use that time to develop new ideas, who knows how many brilliant new businesses would be created. She explained how to think of setbacks as part of a learning curve. Sometimes it will be steep, but if you concentrate on looking forward rather than back, the climb will be easier. My mother was able to ingrain that advice in me not just through words, but through action. Thank you I love you, Mama.
